On October 27th 2020 Minister Simon Harris announced a new initiative funding places on postgraduate programmes. In response to this initiative, the School of Electronic Engineering will offer places on individual modules (i.e. short courses), a graduate certificate and its MSc programme. These courses will begin on January 18th 2021.

Places on these courses are fully funded by the Irish government but people in employment who undertake these courses will have to pay 10% of the programme cost.

Postgraduate Programmes Available

Single Modules/Short Courses

Duration & Delivery Mode

  • Each single module/short course is taken over one semester

  • Each semester has 12 teaching weeks and all teaching elements will be delivered online

  • The MSc in Electronic & Computer Engineering is a full-time, 12-month long programme 

  • The Grad Cert in Electronic & Computer Engineering can be undertaken on a full-time (one semester) or part-time (two semester) basis

How can I apply?

To apply:

You will be able to apply online using the PAC system, accessible via this link.  Places are offered on a first come first served basis and we advise early application.  You must register by Tuesday 1st December 2020 in order to participate in the scheme and registration for all accepted applicants will be complete by Friday 18th December 2020.

Eligibility

Qualifications for eligibility:

Eligible Applicants must be ordinarily resident in Ireland and must meet the nationality and EU residency rules as aligned to Springboard as detailed here.

Additionally, applicants to the MSc in Electronic & Computer Engineering will need to satisfy the below entry requirements

  • A Primary Honours degree, Level 8 with an award of H2.2 or higher in Electronic/Electrical/Computer Engineering, Applied Physics, Computer Sciences or other Engi Save neering Disciplines

Applicants to the Grad Cert in Electronic & Computer Engineering will need to satisfy the below following requirements

  • A minimum of a Level 7 award in a related discipline and relevant work experience

Applicants to single modules/short courses are expected to demonstrate relevant work experience in support of their application
