Each year, we challenge teams of our third year students to design, build and develop a fully autonomous robot to compete in our annual robotics competition.

Last year, students were tasked with developing an automated robo-taxi. Equipped with high tech control systems, the fleet of robo-taxis developed were capable of automatically determining the ‘client’ destination by means of a bar-coded sticker, and delivering the ‘client’ to the appropriate location.

Teams were mentored throughout the process until competition day  – a frenzied day of final tweaks and suspense.
