CHINA PARTNERSHIPS
Dublin City University (DCU) has very active research collaboration links with a number of prestigious Chinese universities particularly in the Information and Communications Technology area.
DCU’s academic excellence is recognised and acknowledged around the world. We regularly feature among the top young universities globally as measured by the Times Higher Education Top 100 under 50 and the QS Top 50 under 50. In the last nine years, DCU has twice been named Sunday Times ‘Irish University of the year’.
Dublin City University was recently invited to join the prestigious European university network, the European Consortium of Innovative Universities (ECIU). DCU is the only Irish university to be represented in this network of 11 European universities and three associate partners, from Australia, Mexico and Russia, all of whom share a common commitment to innovation and entrepreneurship.
It currently has over 16,000 registered students, including over 300 Chinese students, across undergraduate, postgraduate and research programmes.
The School has research collaborations with Tsinghua University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) and Hangzhzou Dianzi University (HDU). The School has hosted visiting academic staff from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT) and China Three Gorges University (CTGU) for between six months and one year.
The School of Electronic Engineering in DCU and the School of Computer Science in Wuhan University jointly established a collaborative Masters programme. A similar Masters programme has been established with Beijing Normal University.
